EARLY REVIEW OF NEW RELEASE GAME CHANGER (A Bomb Squad Novel) by MELISSA CUTLER

EXCERPT:

The author of Undefeated and Risky Business has another sexy hero for you to meet...

Welcome to Destiny Falls, New York, home of Bomb Squad--an ice hockey team full of rugged military heroes. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity has the team captain packing his bags for greener pastures, but saying good-bye to the woman who'd captured his heart is easier said than done...

After being wounded in combat, Brandon Theroux lives every day like it's his last. He never could have imagined that the sleek mechanics of his prosthetic leg would open so many doors, including minor celebrity status as a fitness model and a well-earned reputation as a rakish playboy. The only door it hasn't opened is the one to Harper Johnson's bedroom.

Harper has too much self-respect to join the ranks of Brandon's "carpe diem" conquests, but when she needs someone to keep the peace in the tavern she owns, Brandon offers his help--as long as she agrees to a very tempting trade. It isn't long before the two realize that a deal struck between friends who can't keep their hands off each other has the potential to be a whole lot hotter than either of them is prepared to handle...

REVIEW:

Game Changer is the third book in the Bomb Squad series by Melissa Cutler. I have read the first two books in the series and loved them! This new book is awesome and I love it as well! Throughout the books proceeding this one, there has been a push and pull relationship between Brandon and Harper.

Brandon is the captain of the Bomb Squad hockey team, a personal trainer and model. Harper is the owner of the Lock's bar in Destiny Falls and also the Bomb Squad scorekeeper. There has always been attraction between Brandon and Harper. They even tried to date, but it didn't work out. There is an age difference, but the biggest problem is the fact that Harper wants a permanent relationship and Brandon isn't ready for that.

Brandon needs a change in his life, so he decides to move to Miami and to be on a TV show called Meet The Groom. Duke, the team coach has a going away party for Brandon. Harper is faced with a health issue that forces her to make a life altering decision. Brandon helps Harper by having her write a contract to herself, she vows to seize the day and live a life of adventure and joy, with no fear and no holding back. He also encourages her to make what they call a bliss list with things she wants to to to change her life. They also decide to be best friends and keep in touch while Brandon is gone.

Harper focuses on her body healing and starts working on accomplishing her bliss list items. Brandon tells her that she should come to Miami to celebrate her birthday early with him, including going on skydiving trip which is one of his gifts to her. While he has been away, he realizes that he has fallen for Harper, which is even more evident while she is in Miami with him. Because of the contract he has signed, Brandon can't be with Harper until after the show is over. But ever resourceful, Brandon has figured a way to have everything work out if Harper agrees.

I absolutely loved this book, especially the ending! It is great to read Brandon and Harper's story, as well as get updates on the other characters in the series.

I hope the publisher allows Ms. Cutler to write more books in this series! I would love to read more about Will, Olivia, Gabe, Presley, Kayla and the other characters in the series!

MEET THE AUTHOR:

Melissa Cutler knows she has the best job in the world, dividing her time between her dual passions for writing sexy small town contemporary romances, western romances, and edge-of-your-seat romantic suspense for a variety of publishers, including Harlequin, Kensington Books, Penguin, and Macmillan. She was struck at an early age by an unrelenting travel bug and is probably planning her next vacation as you read this. When she's not globetrotting, she's enjoying Southern California's flip-flop wearing weather and wrangling two rambunctious kids.
