What a great start to a new series by Stephanie Julian!!!
The Brick Wall is Book 1 in the new Redtails hockey series. In this book we are introduced to Shane Conrad, the Redtails' goalie. He is currently in a slump and his friend Cary the team captain wants to help him work on it. In addition to helping Shane with extra practice, Cary invites Shane to a holiday party to unwind since he thinks Shane is overthinking things. Shane doesn't want to go to the party but does anyway.
At the party, Shane meets Bliss Vescovi. She is a very strong woman who works at her aunt's bridal salon. There is instant chemistry between Shane and Bliss. Neither one of them are looking for a relationship but are drawn to each other and decide to see how things progress.
I really enjoyed reading Shane and Bliss's story. I also liked meeting the other characters in the series. They all interact like a big family and look out for each other.
I am looking forward to reading more of this series!!!
